This course has been assured by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) qualifications

Leaders and managers have a significant role to play in reducing substance misuse in the UK. Their unique organisational positions means that they can spot the earliest signs of drug or alcohol misuse in others. Managers must have structures in place to minimise the damage to a person's health and social relationships, their team and the whole organisation.

Developed by Samantha Kendall, qualified emergency medical technician, this substance misuse training course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to raise your awareness and develop strategies and guidance to support staff, colleagues or young people who have substance misuse problems.

To successfully understand and achieve the objectives of the course, learners are expected to engage in all aspects of the learning process to ensure they can successfully apply the knowledge and skills they have gained in their own setting.
