Sleeping children must be frequently checked to ensure that they are safe. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) usually occurs when a baby is asleep so it is vital that those in early years settings ensure that they comply with safe sleeping guidelines to reduce the risk of danger to the babies that are in their care.
