This training course provides you with the core content you need to feel more confident about using reasonable force in education settings and establishing the responsibilities of staff, senior leaders and governing bodies.

All school staff have a duty of care towards their pupils, which includes the power to use reasonable force to prevent injury, damage to property or disorder, as defined in the DfE’s guidance document, ‘Use of reasonable force 2013’. Staff should have clarity on the use of this power so that they act within the law. 

 Developed by Samantha Kendall, a qualified emergency medical technician, this use of reasonable force in schools training course provides you with the knowledge and skills you need to feel more confident about using reasonable force in school and establishing the responsibilities of staff, leaders and governing bodies.
