Dr Kai Adegbembo

Dr Kai Adegbembo MBE is an associate lecturer in Strategic Thinking and Management at a well-regarded and progressive English university. A retired police officer with senior management experience (including operational command), he is vice-chair of the TEC Partnership – one of the country’s largest providers of further and higher education – as well as being a member of the British Society of Criminology (BSC) and Advance HE. 

He is experienced in risk management at operational and business levels, leading management of business change programmes and reducing negative impacts during transitions. He has also studied data protection and human rights legislation in relation to organisational risk.

Awarded an MBE in 2022 for his services to education, Dr Adegbembo is a graduate of the police’s High Potential Development scheme – and continues to contribute to developments within the police service by coaching and mentoring current officers and staff. With a PhD in Law, he has presented cases before employment tribunals and was a member of the Home Office’s Stephen Lawrence Working Group.
