Hannah Tombling

Hannah Tombling is a part-time nursery teacher at Diamond Wood Community Academy in Ravensthorpe, Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. She is also their Eco Schools Leader and leads science with her job share partner.

In 2021, she was awarded the TES Environmental Champion of the Year Award. She is also an active PTA Eco Committee member and a Director for Fairandfunky, a CIC that empowers people to take little steps to change the world.

Her 20 years’ experience teaching across the primary age range has fuelled her passion to connect and engage young people with nature, promoting the importance of allowing children time to make sense of the world around them with real-life experiences.
