Teach Secondary had five categories at the heart of secondary teaching and learning – curriculum impact, assessment, safeguarding, SEND and CPD – and compiled a shortlist of 30 finalists; six per category.
Parven Kaur is social media expert and digital media consultant who is passionate about improving digital literacy for parents and children. She is an author, speaker and the founder of Kids N Clicks; a web resource that helps parents and children thrive in a digital world.
Parven has extensive experience in the social media arena and has been a consultant for various charitable organisations across Scotland. She has spoken at numerous digital media events including CyberSecurity Malaysia, where she shared her expertise on social media safety and security. Her work in social media has been recognised as a ‘Digital Pioneer’ by the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations.
More recently, following her foray into digital parenting, she was recognised by the Parenting 2.0 organisation for improving digital literacy. She has contributed to several high-profile digital parenting websites including Common Sense Media, Family Online Safety Institute and Internet Matters.
Parven graduated with an MSc in corporate governance from the London School of Economics and Political Science and worked as a digital media consultant for over ten years.
