In line with the DfE’s £350 million National Tutoring Programme offering schools support in implementing a catch-up strategy for pupils, we have produced this free guide explaining the safeguarding implications around using private tutors.

On the 20th July, the DfE announced further details of its £350 million National Tutoring Programme (NTP), designed to help schools address the impact of missed learning on children from disadvantaged and vulnerable backgrounds. Analysis by the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) suggests that the attainment gap will have widened between pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds and their classmates during COVID-19.
