On the 10th May 2021, the DfE published their ‘Education staff wellbeing charter’, providing ‘a declaration of support for, and set of commitments to, the wellbeing and mental health of everyone working in education.’ The charter is designed to promote a shared commitment to protect, promote and enhance the wellbeing of staff and was co-created by the members of the education sector, the DfE and Ofsted.

In this week’s featured webinar, Anna Bateman, subject matter expert on mental health and wellbeing, who works in an advisory role for the DfE, will explore what the charter includes, the reasons behind developing the document and how schools can use it to show staff their commitment to wellbeing, open up conversations and create a staff wellbeing strategy and wellbeing-focused culture.
