Description

Within a week, Ofsted released two reports with a focus on mental health. On the 22nd July, ‘Teacher well-being at work in schools and further education providers’ was published, detailing research on well-being in the education profession. Five days earlier, on 17th July, ‘Guidance for joint targeted area inspections on the theme: children’s mental health’ was jointly published providing guidance on evaluating local services responding to children living with mental ill health. This webinar will provide an expert overview of both documents and what they mean for schools. Targeted at the whole school community, it will pick out the key points from each report, their impact on mental health and safeguarding provision in schools and what future steps can be taken.

Content

  • An executive summary of both reports
  • What the reports mean for schools and in particular, mental health and well-being provision
  • How the reports should encourage a whole school approach to mental health and well-being
  • Recommendations and future steps
  • Further reading
