Webinar Duration: 1 hour 2 minutes (approx.)
This webinar will provide headteachers, senior leaders, governors, designated mental health leads teachers and practitioners with advice and practical guidance on supporting the mental health and wellbeing of pupils through an understanding of attachment theory.
If an infant’s early physical and emotional needs are not met by the caregiver, attachment difficulties can arise, which can present as a range of challenging behaviours in school. With insight into attachment theory, teachers and practitioners can facilitate change by responding with sensitivity to pupils’ unmet needs.
In this webinar, Anna Bateman, mental health and wellbeing expert who has worked in an advisory role for the DfE, will provide insight into patterns of behaviour which can be attributed to insecure attachment, and give practical guidance on best supporting a range of behaviours, and at the same time, making a positive difference to pupils’ lives.
