Webinar Duration: 45 minutes (approx.)
This webinar will provide governors, headteachers, DSLs, SENDCos, mental health leads, teaching and non-teaching staff with an overview of the DfE open consultation on managing good behaviour in schools and explain how they can contribute to the process.
On 29 June 2021, the DfE launched their call for evidence on ‘Behaviour management strategies, in-school units, and managed moves’. The six-week consultation aims to seek views from schools on how they use behaviour strategies to manage common behavioural problems which will inform the government’s review of the behaviour and discipline, and suspensions and permanent exclusions guidance later this year. All responses must be submitted by 10 August 2021.
In this webinar, Mark Emmerson, a DfE behaviour adviser and the CEO of the City of London Academies Trust, will help schools to understand the importance of the consultation, what areas of behaviour management the DfE are seeking views on and how they can take part in the process to help enhance the experience of all children and young people in school.
