About the Webinar

Webinar Duration: 52 minutes (approx.)

This webinar will provide headteachers, managers, teachers and practitioners in early years settings with expert insight into the safeguarding responsibilities of the key person, and the importance of practising emotional literacy and co-regulation, to gain a better understanding of children’s needs and inform and enhance safeguarding provision.

The key person fulfils an essential role in helping young children to feel known, understood, cared for and safe. Through application of the principles of emotional literacy and co-regulation, the key person is better placed to identify and respond to any safeguarding concerns.

In this webinar, Konstantina Moustaka, professional development & EYFS coordinator with 16 years', will explain the concepts of emotional literacy and co-regulation, and explain how they can be used by the key person in early years settings to facilitate communication with young children and enhance safeguarding provision.
