Webinar Duration: 74 minutes (approx.)

This webinar will provide EYFS school leaders, teachers and practitioners with an understanding of how to develop children’s ability to read in line with the DfE’s reformed Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework and supportive curriculum guidance.

The DfE’s revised EYFS Framework will become statutory for all schools in September 2021. Early adopter schools are already adhering to the framework, supported by the recent DfE ‘Development Matters’ curriculum guidance, which sets out the pathways of children’s development, including reading.

In this webinar, Megan Dixon, a specialist literacy teacher, consultant and trainer who has worked with the EEF and on an advisory basis for the DfE and Ofsted, explores how schools can prepare for the new EYFS reforms in order to build language comprehension and word reading as part of the wider literacy area of learning.
