The DfE yesterday released guidance for childminders, nurseries and wraparound childcare and clubs on maintaining educational provision during the coronavirus outbreak.
The guidance helps to clarify the position that early years settings should take and provides further information around children who are still eligible for childcare as well as the role of the local authority. It also covers key areas around funding, the EYFS framework, staff to child ratios and how the closures will affect childminders.
In this video update, John Rees an experienced teacher, trainer and consultant with more than 25 years educational leadership experience, will discuss what measures the DfE advise for different early years settings, the support they can expect and how they can play their part under the current circumstances.
