About the Webinar

This webinar will provide headteachers, senior leaders, teachers and teaching assistants with advice and practical guidance on encouraging student agency and empowering student voice in the context of sustainability and climate change education.

Giving pupils an active role in schools’ approach to sustainability and climate change brings a range of benefits, helping them build the knowledge and skills necessary for guardianship of the planet, and a sense of empowerment in response to climate concerns.

In this webinar, John Rees, RSHE subject matter expert with over 25 years’ educational leadership experience, highlights the importance of involving young people now in the debate on sustainability and climate change, and in schools’ response to it, and explains ways in which secondary schools can facilitate student agency and voice.
