About the Webinar

On the 20th March, the DfE released guidance around their announcement to cancel to GCSE, AS and A level examinations.

The guidance explains why the government made their decision and provides some insight into how Ofqual will look to develop an alternative process, which is fair and robust, to award students a calculated grade. It also aims to address many of the concern’s that students will have in respect of university admissions.

In this video update, The National College will discuss the recently published guidance and impact this will have on students, providing an invaluable insight into how the DfE and Ofqual will look to work together over the coming months.

Disclaimer: Due to the nature of the current climate and in light of ongoing government policy review, please continue to check the latest DfE guidance on COVID-19 here.

Good. Worth watching.

Liked it. It was good to find out what is going to happen with the students who were supposed to sit GCSEs, AS and A level exams this year.
Rita Butkeviciute, Teacher - Queen Katharine Academy

Predicted grades and how they will be assessed has already been provided by Dfe. However, it was useful to have an overview of the whole process. Also, the way forward if students wanted to go on to university but were not happy with the grades they had received. Also, useful information on Btec.

This webinar was informative and concise to the point. It did not go on for too long and covered the salient points that I wished to know.
Oredolapo Adewoyin, Science Teacher - Isleworth And Syon School For Boys
