About the Webinar

This webinar will provider headteachers and senior leaders with advice and practical guidance on managing the expectations of a diverse range of stakeholders, including the DfE, Ofsted, peers and parents.

Teaching involves engagement and interaction with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, with differing priorities and levels of interest and influence. It can be difficult to understand how to reconcile conflicting expectations, particularly given the fact that resources are limited.

In this webinar, Stefan Fusenich, teacher, educator and DfE subject learning coach with extensive management and teaching experience, explains how school leaders can navigate the diverse expectations of stakeholders in alignment with their role and responsibilities.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understanding how to manage the diverse expectations of different stakeholders in the fulfilment of the role as leaders.

  • Appreciating the broad range of stakeholders with which school leaders interact, and their differing motivations and interests.

  • Exploring the role and responsibilities of school leaders and what might reasonably be expected of them by stakeholders.

  • Understanding how to manage stakeholder expectations in way which does not put extra pressure on staff workload.

  • Being able to use problem-solving and communication skills to address and resolve conflicting expectations, where necessary.
