This webinar will provide governors, trustees and senior leaders of further education (FE) and sixth-form college corporations with an expert review of their role and statutory responsibilities in enabling their settings to provide high-quality learning and good educational outcomes for learners.

On 28 June 2022, the DfE published governance guidance for FE and sixth-form college corporations. This guidance summarises the key legal and regulatory requirements that apply to governors and trustees of FE corporations and sixth-form college corporations as charities providing education, and offers recommended best practice in several areas.

In this webinar, Stefan Fusenich, teacher educator and DfE subject learning coach, will explore the core statutory functions of the governing board, review the different areas they are accountable for, and consider how they are expected to ensure high standards of governance, education and training.
