The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) reports that an effective approach to mastery learning can, on average, lead to an additional five months’ progress, although admit that making mastery learning work successfully is challenging. Whilst there is no single established view or definition of mastery, what is known is that it is connected with the concepts of shallow and deep learning.

In this webinar, Wendy Adeniji, experienced school principal, MFL teacher, inspector, trainer and author of international renown, will explore the concept of teaching for mastery in modern foreign languages, highlighting the benefits that effective mastery teaching can deliver, and explaining how teachers might set about developing and achieving mastery in the classroom.
