This webinar will offer headteachers, school leaders, teachers and teaching assistants with an effective approach to pupil assessment, identifying knowledge gaps and implementing catch-up programmes as pupils return to school after recurrent and prolonged periods of remote education.

The return to school provides an opportunity to assess with accuracy how remote education has impacted learning before implementing remedial measures. Given that time away from classroom and friends may have been severely detrimental to pupils’ wellbeing, schools will need to take particular care to ensure that these processes are managed with sensitivity.

In this webinar, Neil Almond, education researcher, teacher and curriculum expert delivering evidence-informed classroom practice, identifies strategies, practice and resources for effectively managing pupil assessments and catch-up programmes so that pupils can begin to reclaim any ground lost during their time away.
