This webinar will provide teaching assistants with advice and practical guidance on supporting pupils with wide-ranging starting-points and needs in geography lessons, through one-to-one and small group work, to enhance knowledge and understanding.

Teaching assistants form a huge part of the school workforce, and are often assigned responsibility for supporting pupils, particularly low-attaining or disadvantaged pupils, or those with SEND. A wide range of strategies and resources exist which teaching assistants can draw upon to enhance support in geography lessons.

In this webinar, Anthony Barlow, Principal Lecturer and Programme Convenor (BA QTS) at The University of Roehampton, will explore the role of the teaching assistant in geography lessons and identify strategies and resources to enhance pupil outcomes.
