About the Webinar

This webinar will help school leaders, governors and trustees to understand the new Ofsted EIF from a governance standpoint.

The new Ofsted EIF states that Ofsted inspectors will:

  • Evaluate the contribution of governors to the school’s performance is evaluated as part of the judgement on the effectiveness of leadership and management.
  • Ensure meetings are with those who are directly responsible for exercising governance of the school and overseeing its performance.
  • Ensure meetings between the inspector and those responsible for governance will take place without the headteacher or any other senior staff member.

With the new Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF) now firmly in place, Maggie Parker, a practising inspector, looks at governance in relation to inspection to help schools prepare.

Learning Outcomes

  • A review of the key changes to the EIF and implementing the Ofsted strategy

  • Understanding leadership priorities and importance of a strategic focus

  • How governors can ensure they get their curriculum focus and ‘Quality of Education’ right

  • The role of governors and trustees in creating a culture of safeguarding

  • What the inspection practice looks like under the new framework

Thank you

This was a very well presented and informative webinar that I would thoroughly recommend to all governing bodies with Ofsted looming on the horizon. Thank you.

Don't wait for the phone call

A well presented subject that should give Governors and Trustees plenty of areas to focus on prior to any inspection; no time like the present to start asking the questions.
