About the Webinar

This webinar will help senior school leaders, DSLs, Deputy DSLs and mental health leads to understand how mental health is inspected under the new Ofsted EIF.
The new Ofsted EIF states that Ofsted Inspectors will:

  • Assess the extent to which leaders take into account the workload and wellbeing of their staff as part of the judgement under Leadership and Management.
  • Consider if pupils keep physically and mentally healthy as part of their judgement criteria when grading schools ‘outstanding’ under personal development.

In this webinar subject matter expert, Anna Bateman, looks at how schools can adapt their current practice in order to ensure their mental health and wellbeing provision is within Ofsted expectations.

Learning Outcomes

  • How the new EIF supports mental health and wellbeing and its impact on schools

  • Understanding personal development and how it aligns to resilience, tolerance and cultural capital

  • How the behaviour and attitudes judgement is reflective of an inclusive approach, tackling bullying and discrimination

  • The central role of governors and the importance of staff wellbeing

  • Understanding curriculum ‘deep dives’, pupil engagement and links to safeguarding and mental health
