The DfE have released detailed guidance for further education providers on maintaining education and skills provision following their decision to close schools, colleges and other FE education providers last week.
The guidance provides clarity on who the closures affect, how it will affect them (particularly around examinations) and the measures that colleges can take to ensure ongoing learning from home. It also aims to answer questions around funding and the approach further education providers should take towards vulnerable young people.
In this video update, The National College will pick out the key points from the guidance and discuss what, in practice, this means for colleges, post-16 further education providers and indeed the students themselves.
