This webinar will provide governors, headteachers, senior leaders, RSHE leads, DSLs and all staff with a walkthrough and understanding of Ofsted’s research into sexual abuse in schools and colleges.

On 10 June 2021, Ofsted published their ‘Review of sexual abuse in schools and colleges’ report. It summarises their findings and recommendations following a request from the government to carry out a review of safeguarding policies in schools and colleges in relation to sexual abuse, reporting on areas such as current safeguarding practice and the curriculum, multi-agency arrangements and victim reporting.

In this webinar Robin Watts, international safeguarding expert and education consultant who has worked with thousands of schools and colleges worldwide, will provide an overview of Ofsted’s findings including their judgement on the scale and nature of sexual abuse in schools, an assessment of current safeguarding practice and what recommendations they have made for school and college leaders to create a culture where sexual harassment and online sexual abuse are not tolerated.
