About the Webinar

RSHE is not new. It has been taught for many years. However the new Ofsted framework provides an opportunity for schools leaders and those working in RSHE to re-think their policy. This webinar will focus on how the draft framework can shine a light on what could and should be done within RSHE to promote good practice. It will provide guidance on how staff can help improve students’ academic performance, enhance their well-being and support them in becoming more rounded and complete individuals.

Learning Outcomes

  • An overview of the new draft Oftsed framework and the role of RSHE

  • A discussion around RSHE implementation in schools and the importance of values

  • Building an effective RSHE learning environment which reflects local context, focuses on pupil experience and encourages continuous staff development

  • The notion of curriculum flexibility and encouraging a positive school culture

  • Evidence gathering and the role of the RSHE lead

  • Key findings and recommendations from the May 2013 Ofsted review of RSHE
