Analysis by the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) suggests that the attainment gap between learners from disadvantaged backgrounds and their classmates will have grown whilst schools and colleges were closed due to COVID-19. Extensive evidence shows that high-quality tutoring can help learners to bridge that gap. Through the DfE’s £350 million National Tutoring Programme (NTP), schools and colleges should make sure that children and young people, particularly those from disadvantaged and vulnerable backgrounds, are provided with additional, targeted support to address the impact of missed learning.

In this webinar, RSHE subject matter expert, John Rees, will explore how settings can access and successfully implement high-quality tuition through the NTP and how to decide which approach best fits their needs, who to work with and how to asses which learners will benefit the most.
