About the Webinar

Webinar Duration: 47 minutes (approx.)

This webinar will provide principals, senior leaders, governors and teachers with an expert overview and insight into the Quality Time Action Plan to simplify administrative practices in schools and how the program is likely to impact schools in the future.

Due to the high level of interest in the ‘Quality Time Action Plan’, the New South Wales (NSW) Government has extended the consultation period until 29 October 2021. The plan, which aligns with The School Success Model, seeks to simplify and modernise administrative processes and practices so that every student, every teacher, every leader and every school improves every year.

In this webinar, Anne Knock, experienced teacher, leader and consultant for principals, teachers and architects worldwide, will explore the key reasons behind, and characteristics of, the Quality Time Action Plan, discuss what difference is it going to make and what it means for the way schools are likely to work moving forward.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understanding the basis for developing the Quality Time Action Plan and how it aligns with The School Success Model and improving student outcomes.

  • Recognising how feedback from teachers has shaped the action plan and what the 6 key areas of opportunity are that the action plans seeks to address.

  • Appreciating what has been achieved already across different areas of the school environment in supporting teachers to reduce their administrative burden.

  • Reviewing the 6 key opportunity areas in depth and understanding how the actions for each area aim to achieve the core objective.

  • Realising the importance of engaging in the consultation process and feeding back on the plan to shape its next iteration in Term 4 and support better teaching and learning practices.
