This webinar will provide headteachers, manager and governors in early years settings with an insight into DfE’s report on the structure of the early years’ workforce, factors related to recruitment and retention, and the impact of COVID-19 on settings, to support benchmarking.

The DfE’s report, The early years workforce: recruitment, retention and business planning, explores data on pay, work hours, recruitment, retention and business planning in early years settings, drawn from the 2021 survey of childcare and early years providers and qualitative interviews with providers.

In this webinar, Michelle Howard, education expert with experience in implementing change initiatives to improve school outcomes, provides a walkthrough of the findings of the survey and interviews to help early years settings benchmark their own provision.
