Aim: This webinar will provide you with practical advice and guidance on developing high-quality scaffolding strategies and incorporating them into teaching practice to improve classroom learning and pupil outcomes.

Rationale: Being able to provide effective scaffolding in education is essential for children’s learning. Research by the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) during school closures found elements of effective teaching, such as scaffolding, are much more important than how or when lessons are provided. Scaffolding helps to reduce students' cognitive load, giving them the opportunity to access and understand unfamiliar tasks in the early stages of learning something new.
