This webinar will provide headteachers, curriculum leaders, subject leaders, teachers and practitioners with advice and practical guidance on integrating RSHE into a broad and balanced curriculum which facilitates education recovery.

In planning for the new academic year, schools will be considering how to adjust their RSHE provision so that it aligns with Ofsted’s expectations as defined in the School Inspection Handbook, and also addresses gaps in knowledge and learning loss, in accordance with DfE non-statutory guidance, after disruption to schooling this year.

In this webinar, John Rees, RSHE subject matter expert, will provide a definition of the term ‘broad and balanced curriculum’ based on its context within government guidance, and explains how schools can adjust their RSHE curriculum to ensure that it prioritises gaps, misconceptions and insecure knowledge, particularly where these might present difficulties in mastering the next stage or accessing other subjects.
