About the Webinar

Developed in partnership with the Children’s Society, this webinar will assist Designated Safeguarding Leads, as well as wider School Leadership Teams, to understand origins and consequences of crime exploitation in relation to the County Lines. This webinar will provide knowledge, guidance and practical advice to help schools to comply with their duty of care. Schools will be able to identify and respond to this type of criminal abuse to protect their pupils at school and within the wider local community. 

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the term ‘County Lines’ and its meaning in the context of education and the wider community

  • Understand criminal exploitation origins, background and contributors

  • Practical safeguarding frameworks and ways to protect pupils from county lines criminal abuse

  • Overview of various prevention strategies and further reference points for SMTs and designated Safeguarding officers
