Burnout in schools can be a common problem. The 2021 Teacher Wellbeing Index found that 77% of staff experienced symptoms of poor mental health due to their work and 72% felt stressed. The DfE’s education staff wellbeing charter is a great way to promote support however maximising self-care during periods of free time can significantly improve staff wellness.
