Aim: This webinar will provide you with advice and practical guidance on implementing the principles of mastery learning in the classroom, highlighting its positive impact on pupil performance, and explaining models of effective practice across the curriculum.

Rationale: Mastery learning enables pupils to develop a deeper understanding of the curriculum by establishing a series of clear and specific learning objectives which are pursued until they are achieved. The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) reports that the adoption of mastery learning can, on average, lead to an additional five months’ progress. It has been recognised as being particularly effective when used in the right environment, and can help address the attainment gap.
