This webinar will provide governors, headteachers, senior leaders and teaching staff with an expert review of the DfE’s long-awaited sustainability and climate change policy paper, finalising plans on how they aim to make the UK the world leader in sustainability and climate change by 2030.

On 21 April 2022, the DfE published the final version of its flagship strategy for sustainability and climate change for the education and children’s services systems. It follows a draft version of the document released in November 2021 and outlines the steps the government will take to improve climate change education, bolster training for staff and accelerate carbon-neutral initiatives in schools.

In this webinar, John Rees, leadership and governance expert, trainer and education consultant with more than 25 years’ experience in education, will explore the key areas of the policy paper, including the vision and aims of the strategy, the initiatives that are to drive the strategic objectives and how the DfE expect to achieve their goals.
