Webinar Duration: 1 hour 6 minutes (approx.)

This webinar will provide headteachers, school leaders, teachers and teaching assistants with advice and practical guidance on taking a restorative approach to enhance behaviour and create learning environments which are conducive to effective teaching and learning.

In raising children’s understanding of the impact of their actions, a restorative approach can be used to build positive relationships between all members of the school community, and provide an effective means of resolving conflict when it does occur. Benefits of such an approach can include enhanced behaviour, attendance and attainment and fewer exclusions.

In this webinar, Sabrina Townsend, director of standards and senior school leader, explains the principles of restorative practice and how schools can take a whole-school, restorative approach to improve behaviour and attainment.
