This webinar will provide headteachers, school leaders, teachers, SENCOs, reading and literacy leads and teaching assistants with practical guidance on developing a strategy to teach and support pupils who struggle with dyslexia to enhance confidence, engagement and overall attainment, enabling them to fully access all curriculum subjects.
According to the British Dyslexia Association, it is estimated that 10% of the population struggle with this learning difficulty, which can range from mild to severe. There is much schools can do to support pupils who show signs dyslexia, whether or not a formal diagnosis has been made, so that they are afforded the same education opportunities as their peers.
In this webinar, Dr Jamie Galpin and nasen, will provide insight into dyslexia, its signs in children of primary school age, the impact this can have on pupils’ behaviour and wellbeing, and identify a range of practices which schools can employ to support children and help them achieve their potential.
