This webinar will provide headteachers, senior leaders and subject leads with practical guidance and advice on how to build and strengthen a whole-school ethos towards teaching Arabic which supports inspection goals and enhances pupil outcomes.

Arabic is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world and yet there is often a perception that it can be difficult to teach or it may be too demanding for pupils to learn to a sufficiently high standard. This can invariably pose challenges for schools who must teach Arabic as part of their curriculum and who struggle to get the buy-in from stakeholders in order to appreciate the value that learning Arabic can bring.

In this webinar, Charlie Davies, Head of Modern Foreign Languages at the British School Al Khubairat in Abu Dhabi, will explore how schools can develop a strategic outlook focused on enhancing the profile of Arabic, using practical examples to help create a positive culture and vision which engages the whole-school community and overcomes common barriers.
