Webinar Duration: 59 minutes (approx.)
This webinar will provide headteachers, senior leaders, history subject leads and teachers with guidance and support on reviewing and enhancing their curriculum to raise awareness of the contribution Black people have made to our freedoms, culture and society.
There is an expectation from the DfE that pupils should be taught about different societies as part of a broad and balanced curriculum. Children of all ages should be taught about how different groups have contributed to the development of Britain, including the voices and experience of Black people.
This webinar will explore how educators can incorporate black history into their teaching and considers how schools can deliver a responsive curriculum that is reflective of the wider world and helps to equip young people with a sense of identity, belonging and connectedness.
