This webinar will provide headteachers, senior leaders, governors, teachers and practitioners with advice and practical guidance on enriching their curriculum with education on the Holocaust in a way which is sensitive to the needs of young learners, and from which valuable life lessons can be learned.

Researchers at the University College London’s Centre for Holocaust Education recently identified the need for secure knowledge and understanding about why the Holocaust happened so that teaching and learning can help prevent such an atrocity ever recurring. The need for reliable information sources is more important than ever, given the range of myths and misunderstandings which are propagated online.

In this webinar, The National Holocaust Centre and Museum, the only national museum in the UK dedicated to teaching and learning the lessons from the Holocaust, will explain how primary schools can deliver a sensitive and accurate Holocaust education and encourage pupils to reflect upon the nature of choices, challenge stereotypes, develop critical thinking and engage with experiences which differ from their own.
