About the Webinar

Webinar Duration: 57 minutes (approx.)

This webinar will provide headteachers, senior leaders and senior mental health leads with an understanding of and practical guidance developing a culture of positive psychology in school in order to enhance pupil outcomes and promote pupil and staff wellbeing.

Research has found that applying positive psychology in education can yield a number of benefits. This includes a reduction in depression and anxiety-related symptoms, increased wellbeing and greater life satisfaction. Ensuring the wellbeing of pupils in education is crucial and can often be linked to improved academic outcomes, school retention, and student engagement.

In this webinar, Paul Field, positivity and wellbeing consultant and former headteacher with over 30 years’ experience in education, will explain what positive psychology is, the evidence behind the theory and how schools can implement proven strategies for a happy classroom.

  • Recognising the key principles and findings of research associated with positive psychology to date.
