This webinar will provide headteachers, governors, senior leaders, designated safeguarding leads and all staff with an expert overview of the key updates to the new Keeping children safe in education statutory safeguarding guidance, in support of their preparation for the 2022/23 academic year.

On Friday 20 May 2022, the DfE published the new ‘Keeping children safe in education’ statutory safeguarding guidance for schools and colleges, due to come into effect from 1 September 2022. The release follows a consultation process earlier in the year which sought views on revisions to the previous KCSIE guidance.

In this webinar, Robin Watts, an international safeguarding expert and education consultant who has worked with schools worldwide, will provide an in-depth review of the new KCSIE 2022 guidance to help staff understand the core changes, what they mean for schools and how best to prepare for the new academic year.
