This webinar will provide governors and trustees, managers, headteachers, safeguarding leads and all early years practitioners with an expert overview of the key updates to the new Keeping children safe in education statutory safeguarding guidance to support their preparation for the 2022/23 academic year.

On Friday 20 May 2022, the DfE published the new ‘Keeping children safe in education’ statutory safeguarding guidance, due to come into effect from 1 September 2022. The release follows a consultation process earlier in the year which sought views on revisions to the previous guidance, and sets out updated legal duties that education providers must follow.

In this webinar, Robin Watts, international safeguarding expert and education consultant who has worked with settings worldwide, will provide an in-depth review of the new guidance to help early years staff understand the core changes, what they mean for their setting and how best to prepare for the new year.
