About the Webinar

On the 24th October 2019, the DfE released their ‘Early Years Foundation Stage Reforms’ consultation paper to seek views on proposed changes to the statutory framework for the early years foundation stage. The key aims of the changes are to improve outcomes at age 5, particularly in early language and literacy, and reduce workload so that teachers can spend more time interacting with children in their care.

This webinar is for senior leaders, teachers and all practitioners working in an EYFS setting. It will provide an expert overview of the reforms outlined in the paper and what these changes could mean for children, schools, their staff and partner agencies they work with.

Learning Outcomes

  • An insight into the background to EYFS reform

  • Understanding changes to educational programmes and the activities proposed

  • Understanding the proposed revisions to the Early Learning Goals (ELGs)

  • What key changes are planned for the new EYFSP assessment process
